£9,500 for a community garden accessible to people with a disability.
The Derbyshire Hill Family Centre in St Helens opened in 1982, converted from an old bus garage. The Centre provides a meeting point for a variety of resident and community groups, has office space, meeting rooms, a multi-function sports hall, cafe area, IT training room and is developing an outdoor garden. £9,500 of PH Holt funding has transformed land to the rear of the Centre into a garden which is utilised by the community for social, therapeutic and educational purposes.
A sensory garden with wheelchair friendly pathways, raised flower beds and a vegetable garden have been created for groups and schools to enjoy.
