£3,025 to encourage children to reduce food waste.
‘What a Waste’ is a project developed by Rotters Community Composting to help primary schools in Liverpool reduce their waste in a fun and practical way using composting and growing vegetables. The overall aim of the project is to get schools to think about how they can reduce the amount of waste they are sending to landfill, whilst also enhancing and developing their own environmental strategies to make schools more environmentally friendly places.
£3,025 of funding from PH Holt is extending the educational workshops Rotters provides to schools in Merseyside to learn where food comes from and how to use compost in school growing projects.
